To always be able to offer our shareholders the best furniture and services and to stay up-to-date, we keep a close eye on the market, the industry, and everything even remotely related to it. We speak plainly and openly discuss what really matters to ensure that the Alliance Association brings added value to furniture retailers. In addition to Daniel Borgstedt, Jürgen Feldmann, and Marko Steinmeier from Alliance management, Marc Mispelkamp and Carsten Ringe also have their say, as well as our shareholder Jochen Schreiner, who explains from a retailer’s perspective why he chose Alliance.
The proximity to shareholders makes the Alliance Association unique. We not only ensure that we offer services with high added value, but also that these reach our shareholders. They must be understood and applied by them. Everyone in the association is available for any questions.
For us, social media is not only an important tool for self-marketing. We also use it to detect trending topics. We also look at current designers and visit trade fairs, but we also have technical developments like SmartHome and the increasing importance of lighting concepts on our agenda. We want to bring all of this to our shareholders on the sales floor.
We have invested heavily in digitalization and the maintenance of master data. These basics enable a smooth operation and create room for new ideas, so that we can move a lot together as a team, but also as an association on a large scale and fully exploit our potential.
When planning new floor concepts for the POS, we rely on the expertise of experienced architects. The implementation takes place on-site with the help of visual merchandisers to ensure that the end result is truly perfect. We always keep the needs of our shareholders in focus.
For our shareholder Jochen Schreiner, the biggest advantage of membership in the Alliance Association lies in the freedoms offered. There is no rigid scheme that is applied to all retailers; instead, the individual needs of each furniture store are at the forefront and are taken seriously. There are no fixed requirements that must be met.
We reflect on what is being sold, look at what the industry is developing, and keep an eye on what’s happening in fashion. From this variety of information, upcoming trends can be discerned that are trend-setting for the furniture industry. In addition to the latest trends, trust between trade and industry always has a high priority, similar to how trust from customers is very important to the shareholders. The Alliance Association aims to strengthen both.
