FUNDAMENTALS
The protection of your personal data is of particular concern to us. We therefore process your data exclusively on the basis of legal provisions (GDPR, BDSG-new). In this privacy information, we inform you about the most important aspects of data processing within the framework of our website.
BASIS OF DATA PROCESSING
Data processing is carried out on the basis of the legal provisions of §147 AO (storage due to tax law documentation obligations) of Art 6 Para 1 lit a (consent) and/or lit b (necessary for contract fulfillment) of the GDPR.
PURPOSE-BOUND DATA USE / DURATION OF STORAGE
We observe the principle of purpose-bound data use and collect, process and store your personal data only for the purposes for which you have provided them to us. Your personal data will not be passed on to third parties without your explicit consent, unless this is necessary for the provision of the service or for the execution of the contract. The transmission to authorized state institutions and authorities only takes place within the framework of the legal obligations to provide information or if we are obliged to provide information by a court decision. We also take internal data protection very seriously. Our employees and the service companies commissioned by us have been obliged by us to maintain confidentiality and to comply with data protection regulations. The duration of storage of personal data is measured according to the respective legal retention period (e.g. commercial and tax law retention periods). After expiry of the period, the corresponding data is routinely deleted, provided that it is no longer necessary for contract fulfillment or contract initiation and/or we no longer have a justified interest in further storage.
RIGHT TO INFORMATION AND REVOCATION
You generally have the following rights:
Please note that data protection regulations and practices regarding data protection, e.g. at Google, can change constantly. It is therefore advisable and necessary to keep yourself informed about changes in legal provisions and the practices of companies, e.g. Google, on an ongoing basis.
SSL ENCRYPTION
For security reasons and to protect the transmission of personal data and other confidential content, this website uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the character string “https://” and the lock symbol in your browser bar.
WHAT ARE COOKIES AND ARE COOKIES USED?
To make your visit to our website as comfortable as possible, we use cookies to display our product range. Cookies are small text files that are stored locally in the cache of the site visitor’s internet browser. We would like to inform you that some of these cookies are transferred from our server to your computer system, most of which are so-called session-related cookies. Session-related cookies are characterized by the fact that they are automatically deleted from your hard drive at the end of the browser session. Other cookies remain on your computer system and allow us to recognize your computer system on your next visit (so-called persistent cookies). Of course, you can set your browser so that no cookies are stored on the hard drive or existing cookies are deleted again.
CONTACT FORM / APPOINTMENT SCHEDULING
The data entry made via our contact form is voluntary. The user thus declares their consent to the collection and storage of the data entered. Apart from the data explicitly entered, no further data is collected without the user’s knowledge. The data collection is encrypted.
The data collection is carried out exclusively for the purpose of answering inquiries. The retention period is based on the purpose of the collection, and the data is deleted after the purpose no longer applies.
USE OF GOOGLE ANALYTICS
It is important to us to design our internet pages as optimally as possible and thus make them attractive for our visitors. For this, we need to know which parts of it are well-received by our visitors. This website uses the tool “Google Analytics”. This is a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (hereinafter referred to as “Google”) (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; “Google”). Detailed information on data protection for “Google Analytics” can be found at http://www.google.com/intl/de/analytics/privacyoverview.html
1) Overview
Google Analytics is a tool that allows the owner of a website to analyze the interaction of users with the website. Our company can generate a series of different reports using the tool, which show how you as a visitor interact with the websites. With this data, our company can improve the website and better tailor it to your needs or identify and correct errors. The information collected by Google Analytics is essentially anonymous. Only so-called website trends are determined. The individual visitor remains fundamentally unrecognized. For further information, you can view Google’s current privacy policy at http://www.google.com/intl/de/analytics/privacyoverview.html.
2) Personal Data in Google Analytics
Personal data is information that personally identifies the user. This includes, for example, data such as name, email address, payment information, and other data that are directly related to such information. Google Analytics’ terms of service, which all Google Analytics customers must comply with, prohibit the tracking or collection of such information with Google Analytics. Additionally, no personal information may be linked to web analytics data. Such use does not take place in our company either.
3) Google Analytics Cookies
Google Analytics uses a so-called “first-party” cookie to analyze user interactions. “Cookies” are text files with information that are stored on the user’s computer. This includes, for example, the time of the website visit, the frequency with which the visitor has accessed the website, and where the visitor came to the website from. “First-party” cookies are not made accessible across domains by browsers. The information generated by the cookie about the use of the website by the user is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. If you do not wish to receive cookies, you can set your browser to notify you when cookies are being sent. You then have the option to reject cookies from certain websites or all cookies in general; we would like to point out that in this case, you may not be able to use all functions of the website to their full extent. You can also delete cookies from your browser.
4) Use of IP Address by Google Analytics
Computers and devices connected to the internet are assigned a unique number by the provider, known as the IP address. An IP address can generally be used to identify the country, state, or even the city where the computer established the connection to the internet. Additionally, the user’s provider can be identified through the IP address. You can try this yourself, for example, at http://www.geoiptool.com/en. Google Analytics collects and stores these IP addresses of users. This allows us to analyze which parts of the world and which regions in Germany the user comes from. This method is called geotargeting. However, the actual IP address information is not passed on to us by Google Analytics. Furthermore, we use the IP masking method: Our company has configured Google Analytics so that only a part of the IP address is used for geotargeting instead of the entire IP address. Due to the activation of IP anonymization on this website by our company, the user’s IP address is truncated by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of our company, Google will use the data collected in the context of website usage to evaluate the use of the website by the user, to compile reports on website activities, and to provide our company with other services related to website usage and internet usage. The IP address transmitted by the user’s browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other data from Google.
5) Use of Data from Google Analytics
We can specify in Google Analytics which data Google is allowed to use. Our company has set the prohibition of Google Analytics data sharing options. This means Google may not use the data to improve Google products and services. We can change these options at any time. For more information on data sharing options, please visit http://www.google.com/support/analytics/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=87515
6) Deactivation Function for the Browser
The user can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to the use of the website (including the user’s IP address) by Google and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing a so-called deactivation add-on. Google offers this deactivation add-on for the browsers Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, and Opera. Google Analytics thus gives the visitor of a website control over which data about the visited web pages are collected by Google Analytics. The add-on informs Google Analytics’ JavaScript (ga.js) that no information about the user’s visit to a website should be transmitted to Google Analytics. Further information about the deactivation add-on for browsers from Google Analytics can be found at http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en
USE OF THE REMARKETING OR “SIMILAR AUDIENCES” FUNCTION OF GOOGLE INC.
We use the remarketing or “Similar Audiences” function of Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; “Google”) on our websites. This function allows us to target you as a user with advertising by displaying personalized, interest-based ads when you visit or have visited other websites in the Google Display Network. To perform the analysis of website usage, which forms the basis for creating interest-based ads, Google uses so-called cookies. For this purpose, Google stores a small file with a sequence of numbers in the cookie on the visitor’s hard drive. This number records visits to the website as well as anonymized data about the use of the website. No personal data is stored. If you do not wish to receive cookies, you can set your browser to notify you when cookies are sent. You then have the option to refuse cookies from certain websites or all cookies in general; please note that in this case, not all functions of the website may be fully usable. You can also delete cookies from your browser. However, if the cookie is stored and you subsequently visit another website in the Google Display Network, ads will be displayed to you that are highly likely to take into account the previously accessed product and information areas of other websites. You can permanently disable the use of cookies by Google by following the link below and downloading and installing the plug-in provided there: https://www.google.com/settings/ads/plugin. Further information on Google Remarketing and Google’s privacy policy can be viewed at: http://www.google.com/privacy/ads/.
CONVERSION MEASUREMENT USING FACEBOOK VISITOR ACTION PIXEL
Based on your consent, we use the “Visitor Action Pixel” of Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (hereinafter referred to as Facebook) within our website. The purpose of the procedure used is the anonymized tracking of user behavior on our website after they have been redirected to the provider’s website by clicking on a Facebook ad. This procedure is used to evaluate the effectiveness of Facebook ads for statistical and market research purposes and can help optimize future advertising measures. The data collected in this process is anonymous for our company and does not provide us with any conclusions about the identity of the users. However, the data is stored and processed by Facebook, allowing a connection to the respective Facebook profile of the user, and Facebook can use the data for its own advertising purposes, according to the Facebook data usage policy (https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/). You can enable Facebook and its partners to display ads on and off Facebook. A cookie may also be stored on your computer for these purposes. Consent to the use of the Visitor Action Pixel may only be declared by users who are older than 13 years. If you are younger, we ask you to obtain permission from your guardians before agreeing to the procedure.
GOOGLE MAPS PLUGIN
We use a plugin of the internet service Google Maps on our website. The operator of Google Maps is Google Inc., based in the USA, CA 94043, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View. By using Google Maps on our website, information about the use of this website and your IP address is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored on this server. We have no knowledge of the exact content of the transmitted data, nor of its use by Google. The company denies in this context the connection of the data with information from other Google services and the collection of personal data. However, Google may transmit the information to third parties. If you disable Javascript in your browser, you prevent the execution of Google Maps. However, you will not be able to use the map display on our website. By using our website, you consent to the described collection and processing of information by Google Inc. For more information on the privacy policy and terms of use for Google Maps, please visit: https://www.google.com/intl/de_de/help/terms_maps.html.
